As this is my 600th blog-post I thought I should mark the milestone in
some way. I usually post plenty of photos on my blog posts but not everyone will be aware that I do also
shoot the occasional video clip (and upload them to YouTube - username is stonefaction). The quality of these videos does vary a lot,
sometimes this is down to the distance from the subject, sometimes it is
down to the camera being used but mostly it is down to me.
So here's a selection of around 100 clips of a variety of species, not just birds but also animals and insects too - some rare, some uncommon and some very common. Some species are represented more than once and he clips vary in length from around 3 or 4 seconds to over a minute. I've caught a few of the birds singing and some other relatively interesting behaviour. I don't expect that anyone will watch them all, but I hope that everyone finds something of interest here. Apologies in advance for the amount of wind noise on these clips (probably best to turn down the volume first), it seems to have been quite windy when I've been shooting a lot of these clips.
Once again a big thank you to everyone who takes the time to read, and hopefully enjoy, my blog posts. Thanks too to all who have shared their experience, time, sightings, conversation and their cars with me during my birding outings. This blog wouldn't be the same without you.
