Four days of blue skies and sunshine. Not just in a month, but in a row. And when I'm not at work. That doesn't happen very often. Thankfully it did this long Easter weekend.

I now have a LOT of catching up to do. I have the editing of hundreds of photos to get through and I have 4 days of birding to type up for here. 4 days of on average just short of 10 hours birding each day. That's gonna be a lot of words. Trying to remember what was seen where and when and in which order and even on what day is gonna be fun. I'll get there.

I've managed to see 99 species in those 4 days. I've been up the Angus Glens, and over at Fife Ness, as well as Loch Leven and plenty of other places too. I've added 8 year ticks taking me to 151 for the year, which is 10 ahead of this time last year.

I've been out birding with my pals Jacqui Herrington, Steph Cowie and Willie and Anne Irvine. I've bumped into Gus Guthrie, Darell Berthon and Iain Hastie among others.

I've seen Roe Deer, Brown Hare, Red and Grey Squirrels, and Rabbits. Small Tortoiseshell, Green Veined White, Small White, Peacock and Orange Tip butterflies.

It's been rather eventful. I will catch up, hopefully by this weekend. In the meantime, here's the 99 species seen.
